We are pleased to announce that Gynburra 2023 will take place in full capacity on January 27 and 28, 2023. On Friday 27 January we are encouraging everyone to join us for a family fun day including stall holders, stage entertainment, amusements and a small business market place. A beautiful showcase of business and the community in Port Victoria. A family movie night will follow the fun on the foreshore as soon as the sun goes down and we will hold our inaugural Gynburra dinner at the Yorke Peninsula Golf Club.
On Saturday 28 January, the Clem Graham Snr Memorial Butterfish Competition will take place for men and boys whilst women enjoy a pamper day on the foreshore. From 4pm, we welcome the spearfishing participants back to the shore for prize announcements and final celebrations including a unique fireworks display later in the evening.
Gynburra festival draws on the traditions of the First People of the Guuranda, the Narungga name for Yorke Peninsula to create fun, celebrate culture and invites everyone along for an inclusive family weekend.
